When we have orientations for the club, we talk about alcohol and swinging. So many phone calls the day after from people who say, "I never would have done that if I hadn't been drinking!:, or worse yet...IMO...is "What did we do? Why did we do it?" Alcohol certainly does allow a person to take the edge off, but in my way of thinking if a person does not know who they are when they are stone cold sober and what they need and desire, they have no business in the swing world with those next day questions mentioned above. Yeah, I can see having a drink or two for relaxation, but not to make themselves follow through on something they are not going to be happy with themselves for doing the night before what they'd never permit themselves to do in cold sober daylight!

It's not a judgement of the person - each can do what they will - but I've seen the next day scenario too often, and heard partners and spouses say, yeah, give him/her a few drinks and they really get it on....and it makes me sad to hear because I know that person is not in full control of themselves going into a situation they might not be prepared for mentally.

Just my few cents worth, and I'm sure probably not a very popular opinion.
