 My guess is couples, though single LADIES COULD (if they're inclined).

 Logically and by social standards, women are in control.
That doesn't explain the absence of action or poor choices
But they have 100% control.

 Single women and married women with a solo profile the most options and get the most attention, though I gather basically all of it is unwelcome.. The couple's, then likely married men, and those that get the very least notice are men who are actually single and available.

Of course my placement of the last two might have more to do with my personal experiences with this and other self introduction internet services.
Not the Whole Truth but the truth that I can see.

 The times I did ask men out, they said I was too aggressive.
I am a woman who know that meeting person is the clincher. People look great on paper, in pictures, sound great on the phone, but until you lay eyes on each other.... thats when SPARKS fly, or completely CRASH & BURN...
