To add upon Pocogato12's post earlier this week about Lobster - I replied that I was going to try a new recipe today - Spaghetti w/Lobster Pomodoro. I varied the recipe a bit, due to what I either had already or could find in the store. I'd never heard of "enduja" and it wasn't located in a few of the stores I went to, as such I substituted prosciutto. The dish turned out pretty good, especially considering not only was this the first time trying this recipe, it was also my first time cooking lobster!
I've challenged myself to make one new recipe a week...
This leads me to the title of the post: Are you more adventurous in the bedroom or kitchen? Do like when your partner gets creative in either the kitchen or bedroom?

Moments before giving a two hour presentation this week, I noticed my pants zipper broke - lucky enough my hotel room was fairly close to the ballroom (pun intended). I sprinted to my room, changed pants, sprinted back with a minute to spare. In a cold sweat I started my presentation - in the back of my mind I’m thinking “did I remember to zip the new pair of pants.” Lucky enough I did - presentation went great, phew!
I’ve had other embarrassing moments when presenting, but not a wardrobe malfunction.
What embarrassing moments have happened or been prevented to you?

I want to see your face

I received a message from some that I've never communicated with, the message was "I want to see your face." Nothing else writing in the message.
I replied (as I always do 😀) and asked if that is the only reason why she messaged me. I went on to say that I typiy establish a dialogue width some before I send them a face picture. She replied stating "sorry to bother you, I was just curious."
While it's true that if you don't ask, you will not get what you want and/or the answer to your question - but I'm surprised that she actually thought I would reply with a face picture. (Note: she does have a picture of her face as her profile.)
Perhaps it's just me, but prior to exchanging additional information (e.g. picture, email address, etc) I expect to develop some rapport with the individual.
Would you have replied to this message? If so, what would have been your reply?

I was walking through a hotel in Las Vegas earlier and I see a person wearing a surgical mask, which is no big deal as they are probably trying not to get sick. However, this person had the mask pulled down so they could smoke a cigarette. Seems a bit counterproductive to me...

I received the following message today:
Her: stop viewing me ugly man
Me: Hmmm, I don’t believe I have viewed your profile. Sometimes the system shows that a person has viewed your profile when that is not the case. Have a great day.
Her: yeah ur are i wouldn’t lie about that
Then they block me...
Oh well, no worries either way for me. I typically don’t reply to those messages, but every once in awhile it’s fun to...

I'm traveling to Las Vegas early next week (October 23 - 26), send me a message if you are interested in meeting for a drink/dinner. Talking, and meeting, with people always makes business travel easier.

Good evening - I truly appreciate everyone's thoughts leading up to and during Irma. It was a long night, as I lost power very early (7:30 pm) in the storm and spent the night listening to the extreme winds. It as very eerie evening and then while checking the local news on my phone I find out the eye moved east was moving towards my location...let's just say I didn't get much sleep and having no a/c didn't help the situation.
Luckily, I did not sustain any structural damage to my house or pool enclosure - I would've bet money the pool enclosure would not have survived the storm. I did have quite a few tree limbs down and my yard looked horrible with all of the debris. I ended up bagging 11 green trash bags and you can barely tell I did any work.
I was also lucky enough that power restored in the early afternoon hours. Half of my neighborhood still does not have power and I heard that over 4 million people in the state of Florida did not have power this morning.
I appreciate all of the lineman (and other first responders) that left their families to work to restore power. While 18 hours w/out electricity was not fun, it truly was only a minor inconvenience compared to others that have or are suffering much worse.

Irma Thoughts and Memes

As you can imagine, Irma is the main topic at my office in Central Florida.
Everyone was hoping the storm would turn right and go into the Atlantic and never touch land - that's not going to happen.
Everyone in a given area then hopes the storm doesn't hit them directly, which raises a question that if you wish/pray (inset another term) for it not to hit your area, does that essentially mean you are hoping someone else is affected? Not necessarily, but you see where I'm going with this thought.
Which reminds me of, the late, great, George Carlin and his NIMBY theory...for those not familiar NIMBY stands for "Not In My Back Yard" -- everyone agrees that we need a new restaurant/road/school, etc. but don't build it in my back yard...
During good times and bad, you need to breathe and have a sense of humor.
Enjoy this meme and when reading it, do it in the voice they use for Super Bowl MVP.

Happy Easter to all...
One of my favorite desserts is carrot cake and I recently found a recipe for a carrot cake roll w/cream cheese filling. I've never made a "roll," as such, I decided to make it today. It tastes very good.
What is your favorite dessert?
Anyone want to taste my homemade cream? Lol
There should be two pictures in this post.
